Still room on the netbook bandwagon for Nokia + Linux + ARM: Interesting speculation on an ARM-based Nokia netbook. While I think that the x86-based architecture has the netbook market sewn up (with the possible exception of China), I'll be very interested to see what Nokia produces, assuming that they do indeed jump into this market.
Electronista | RIAA to shed more staff in "bloodbath": Fantastic news.
Atom can't feed R&D monster; Intel outsources chips to TSMC: This is a rather stunning development -- if I had to pick just one area of Intel's business to describe as their "core", I would pick manufacturing. That's why its somewhat surprising to see Intel announce that they will be outsourcing production of the atom chip to TSMC. This is a pretty bold move, and I wonder if Intel is eventually going to outsource their entire manufacturing capability?
Electronista | Dell Mini 10 hands-on: beating Apple to good netbooks: While this machine does look pretty cool, it has a few warts (memory soldered onto the motherboard, for one), that appear like it will keep the Mini 10 from unseating the HP mini 1000 as my #1 object of netbook lust.
Mac Mini and iMac Product Part Numbers? Available Tomorrow? [Updated] - Mac Rumors: This all seems plausible. And if the rumors of an event on March 24th are true, then I guess that's where Apple would introduce the Core i7-based Mac Pro, and potentially give a nice demo of Snow Leopard (and show how well it runs when it has 8 Nehalem-based cores and a screaming graphics card).
Charlie Rose - A conversation with entrepreneur and software engineer Marc Andreessen: Fantastic interview -- gives a great overview of entrepreneurship, how Silicon Valley works, social networking, the current state of the economy, and where innovation is likely to come from in the future. Highly recommended.
