How one man bypassed internet congestion and fixed his Netflix streaming:
But, says Nederkoorn, in the end, he doesn't really care if Netflix or Level 3 share the blame. "I pay Verizon for a certain level of service, and as a consumer, I don't have a lot of sympathy for them when they can't deliver on that."
This pretty-much sums up how I feel about this debate. I'm paying Verizon what I feel is a lot of money every month for LTE service to my phone. And if I can't stream Netflix, or Hulu, or whatever, that makes me feel like I'm not getting a good deal whatsoever.Kickstarter campaign offers ‘Magsafe for iPhone’ (history says Apple lawsuit incoming): This actually looks pretty clever, but I agree with 9to5mac -- these guys are going to get a letter from Apple. MagSafe and Lightning are two pieces of Intellectual Property that Apple strongly protects.
The Times They Are A-Changin’: I missed this announcement from Intel last week. And I agree, I think that Intel is in for a rocky future. (via Rob Mathers on Twitter)
Do you have $300? You have almost enough to stream NFL games on phones and game consoles: Well, this is definitely progress, but I agree with Nilay Patel -- the arbitrary split between consoles and devices is weird. I suppose the aim is to charge an extra fee to watch on the big screen vs. the small screen of a tablet or computer.
