How Laura Poitras Helped Snowden Spill His Secrets: While I haven't been following every scrap of news on the NSA whistle-blower, I found this profile of how Edward Snowden's information came to light to be intensely interesting.
How Marvel Unified Its Movie Universe (And Why That Won't Be Easy for DC): I though this was a pretty good overview of why Marvel has been so successful lately. What's amazing to me, is like in most successes, it comes down to people. In this case, it seems like Kevin Feige is successfully wielding his talent to make fun, enjoyable movies. As much as companies large and small would like to forget it, talent matters.
Amazon First Citywide Change Bank: The latest iteration of John Gruber's "The Talk Show" has been pretty uneven, but the latest episode was really great. John and MG Siegler tackle Amazon, and compare and contrast with Apple. Along the way, I think they hit the best explanations yet for why Amazon is so well-regarded by Wall Street, and why Apple is struggling. If you care at all about either of these companies, this episode is well worth a listen.
