  • Sendoff: Jon "Hannibal" Stokes marches his elephant army out of Ars: This is something of a bummer — Jon Stokes is one of the main reasons that I read Ars Technica. Hopefully, he'll continue writing about technology, in some forum or another.

  • Page's mistake: Dave Winer, in a post-post-mortem on Google+, on what Google should really be focusing on. Interesting food for thought.

  • The real reason behind India’s lack of startups/innovation: Not sure that I agree with thsi broad generalization, because I think that there are innovative new companies launching in India. However, the rigidity of education is something that we struggle with here, and is a valid concern.

  • HP TouchPad review: I've been waiting patiently for Josh Topolsky's review, and it is as I have feared — Palm has released another fantastic product, that is marred by a few glaring flaws. I want Apple to have some strong competition, so I've been toying with putting my money where my mouth is, and buying one of these things. Now, I'm not so sure.

  • Captain America: The First Avenger trailer: This trailer actually looks decent, and even more surprising is that it features a Tool song. Surprising not that "46 & 2" doesn't fit, but that Tool rarely licenses their music for commercial use.
