  • Netflix releases Android app for select HTC phones, Samsung Nexus S: Netflix finally comes to Android, but only to 5 approved devices, none of which are tablets.

  • The Ballmer Days Are Over: I don't agree with everything that Ben Brooks writes here (I find it hard to believe that Ballmer had anything to do with the mock iPhone funeral, for example), but this part from the conclusion really caught my eye:

"If Microsoft wants a chance and long term survivorship they need to make themselves appealing to young stars. You can’t appeal to this young crop of talent unless you offer compelling products. More and more job selection for the elite talent is less about money and more about job satisfaction."

That last sentence, in particular, really rings true.

  • Fukushima 'Full Meltdown' Made Official: Sounds like there is no need to panic, but this isn't great news for Japan.

  • The Senate calls the AT&T / T-Mobile merger into question: I hope that this deal gets blocked, but I don't know that doing so would fix what ails the wireless industry (you know, in terms of providing better service and prices to its customers).
