  • Intel to fab ARM chips for Apple? It's possible...: It's even more interesting to speculate about this, in light of Intel's new 3D transistors.

  • Transistors go 3D as Intel re-invents the microchip: Pretty amazing break-through from Intel. I can't wait to see if this shakes up the mobile processor market place.

  • Aged to Perfection: Great photo of a "used" original iPhone, and the conclusion is great as well:

"The Japanese have a term for this, “Wabi-sabi”. Wabi-sabi can be used to describe the aesthetically pleasing wear of an object as it decays over time. It’s a notion that embraces the transience of objects and celebrates the purity of the imperfect. Aging with dignity is a criteria designers should recognize in their efforts.  I’m thinking of a future when products are designed not for the brief moment when they are new, but for when they have been aged to perfection."

  • The new iMac does 450 Mb/s WiFi: I didn't know about this new WiFi trick. Neat.

  • HackLolla: This is a cool idea — Lollapalooza is offering a cash prize for the best app to use their API. I can't think of another music festival that is so forward-looking.

  • Why Syndrome Makes the Perfect Nemesis: For me, it's a toss-up as to whether "The Incredibles" or "Up" is Pixar's best movie. But this blog post gets to why it might be the former — "The Incredibles" has tremendous depth to it's story, beyond the facile action-oriented face that it presents. Brad Bird really should be commended for this film. (via John Siracusa)
