  • NetNewsNostalgia: I have been using (and loving) NetNewsWire for a long time (since the version 1.x days), and it's nice to read something like this, that appreciates a fine product, and shows how far it has come. I can't wait for version 4.0! (via Daring Fireball)

  • The Unavoidable iPhone Nano: The normally astute Jean-Louis Gassée gets hung-up on the possibility of an iPhone with a 3rd screen resolution. I don't think this will happen, and further, I don't think that Apple needs to make a smaller screen in order to produce a cheaper iPhone.

Think about an iPhone 3GS, that was engineered to be cheap (like the iPod touch is). I think it might be possible for Apple to make such a device, which would hopefully translate to lower monthly fees (and possibly even pre-paid plans), which in turn would open up the iPhone to a much bigger piece of the cell phone market.

  • Flash on Android: Look but don't touch: I'm not really missing Flash on my iPad, and if this is the current state of the art, then it doesn't appear as if I'm going to be changing my mind soon.

  • Apple sues Samsung: a complete lawsuit analysis: Fantastic rundown of Apple's latest lawsuit, from Nilay Patel. There is a lot going on here, especially considering the fact that Samsung makes a lot of components for Apple. As Nilay put it:

"...I’d love to know why Apple’s making some of the choices it’s making. This is multibillion-dollar chess."
