A Hypothetical Netflix "iOS Plan": I think it would be a good thing if subscription companies passed along the cost of Apple's 30% cut to consumers, as it would pressure Apple to see the error of their ways. Intel Says Nokia Went to ‘Highest Bidder,’ Microsoft: This sounds plausible to me. I think that Microsoft was desperate to have Nokia — a large, distinguished OEM, that is focused solely on Windows Phone 7. The other OEMs that Microsoft has also make Android phones, and my guess is that the Android phones are selling better than the Windows phones, translating to weak support for Windows Phone 7. By getting Nokia on board, Microsoft has guaranteed that Windows Phone 7 will have a high-profile route to market.
