  • 4cr Chatter – 3DS Edition: Some interesting discussion on the new Nintendo 3DS. These guys are usually in the tank for Nintendo, so their reservations could mean something. Personally, I think that Nintendo has a history of taking systems that initially look stupid, and then going on to release a ton of great software, showing that what was initially disregarded, is in fact awesome.

Nintendo is also known for releasing the Virtual Boy. So, this thing could go either way.

  • DuckDuckGo Challenges Google on Privacy (With a Billboard): I was surprised to see this billboard in SF yesterday, and I think it might be a worthy experiment to try switching to DuckDuckGo for a week.

  • Apple's $3.9 Billion Investment Was in LCD Displays?: I share MacRumor's sentiment — I think that Apple's big investment was in displays. Since the display industry isn't moving in the direction that Apple wants, namely high quality, thin, low power, and high pixel density, it makes sense for Apple to drop some money on the display manufacturers, in order to get things moving in their direction.

And maybe part of this money is also going into flash memory, since the original deal that they made in 2005 is expiring.
