  • First Day Review: The Google Chrome OS Cr-48 Notebook: Danny Sullivan walks through his experiences in trying to use ChromeOS as his primary machine.

  • A Walk In The Cloud: My First Day With Google’s Chrome OS: Jason Kincaid of TechCrunch kicks the tires on ChromeOS. He points out a fair number of issues, but is bullish overall.

  • Google Cr-48 for Coding: John Resig on using his Cr-48 for writing code. A bit disappointing, he's simply using the built-in xterm.

  • Google Cr-48 Chrome laptop preview: Engadget goes in-depth on Google's Cr-48 ChromeOS laptop. It seems like it is shaping up well, except for this:

    "And speaking of Flash... it seems to be this laptop's Achilles' heel. Even things as minor as Pandora seem to be putting a huge strain on the system, and cause everything else to slow down. When Google claimed Chrome OS ran the web "natively," it seems like it was ignoring the fact that Flash feels like emulation. "

    Apparently, watching video is even worse. Definitely something Google is going to have to fix if they want the market to take ChromeOS machines seriously in mid 2011.

  • AMD, Intel, PC builders plan to drop VGA by 2015: I wonder if VGA is the longest surviving PC connector ever? Maybe only the three-prong power plug used for desktop PCs and servers has been around longer.
