Apple-NeXT Merger Birthday!: While I knew that Doom was written on NeXTSTEP, John Romero gives some nice anecodtes as to NeXTSTEP, and how id Software used it back in the early 90's.
If the iPad 2nd-gen gets a Retina display, what will the resolution be?: Ryan Block misses the mark here, but the comments are intelligent and set him straight. In short, as I have said in the past, the eventual Retina Display iPad will surely be 2048 x 1536 resolution, but it's pretty unlikely that this happens in 2011.
