Apple released iOS 4.1 this week, and one of the big new features (that wasn't spoiled ahead of the keynote), was an HDR photo option in the camera app. Well, it was nice and sunny on my walk home from work yesterday, so I decided to play around with this feature. I've posted the results to Flickr, but here is one of the better photos that I got:

Be sure to check out the full gallery. The new Flickr design supports using the left and right arrow keys. So you can go into lightbox mode, and just flip back and forth rapidly. When you switch between the original image and the HDR image, you can really see what HDR brings to the table.

In short: it's pretty sweet.
