Details emerge about Nvidia's x86 CPU: Some interesting speculation, but not a lot of hard facts. At this point, the x86 instruction set really should just be an open standard. But unfortunately, it is still patented up the wazoo by Intel (and probably also AMD). And thus, it's going to be hard for other players to enter the game.
