Verizon iPhone chatter is getting harder (than usual) to ignore: I've talked about the iPhone coming to Verizon before, but I think it's really happening this time. Nearly all of Android's growth in the US over the last 6 months is due to that platform's availability on Verizon. So in order counter that, Apple has to swim in the same pool.
A reconciling proposal: In contrast with Gruber, I think that allowing Open Source frameworks on iPhone OS is a great idea, and addresses all of Apple's concerns leading up to section 3.3.1.
But that said, I'm not holding my breath.
