  • Nimble Design - /the/path/of/most/resistance: Rob Foster on one aspect of the iPad, starts with this note about the Mac:

"...but as the Mac became fashionable, I had more and more family members calling to let me know they had switched. Now, most of them are Mac users..."

Anecdotally, the same is true for my family, as well. As for the iPad, I think that there is some middle ground between traditional, anything-goes access to the filesystem, and the total occlusion that the iPhone / iPad presents. (via Daring Fireball)

  • I want a Mac Mini on steroids: There is a pretty big difference between what Apple can do, and what they actually will do. While Apple could make a quad core Mac mini, it's not going to happen this year. And maybe not even next year. Apple's product line is quite segmented, and they're not going to do anything to disrupt that.
