Apple, Adobe, and Flash: Great piece from John Gruber about the future of Adobe's proprietary Flash runtime on Apple's future proprietary platforms. As I have written, there is one possible way that Flash could appear on the Tablet (and on the iPhone), but John Gruber digs up a lot of anecdotal evidence to suggest that Flash on the Tablet is pretty unlikely.

Apple Reports First Quarter Results: Great results from Apple today. And in case you doubt an impending tablet:

“If you annualize our quarterly revenue, it’s surprising that Apple is now a $50+ billion company,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product that we’re really excited about.”

Here's a hint: it's almost certain that the "major new product" isn't a revamp of the Apple 30" Cinema Display.
