When I first arrived in Chicago, it had snowed, and then it rained for nearly two days straight. Combined with freezing temperatures at night, this left things in a mixed wet / icy state:
But in the late afternoon on Christmas, the thermometer dipped, and the snow returned to Chicago:

And it actually snowed quite hard today, I'm not sure of the total accumulation, but I'd guess it was at least a couple of inches. I got to do quite a bit of shoveling, while waiting for pictures to upload to Flickr. Two galleries are online, and a few more of my favorites are after the break.
