  • EyeTV app for iPhone released: My mini review: setup is fairly complicated, but it does work (even over the Internet). My main issue is that playback on the iPhone is in Apple's player, which lacks 30 second skip forward. Thus, it's hard to skip the commercials. Even worse, the EyeTV app doesn't save your position in a show that you start watching -- so if you watch 10 minutes, and then want to come back to it, you have to start over at the beginning. As it stands right now, this isn't worth the $5.

  • Review: AT&T 3G MicroCell: I really don't understand AT&T's model here. It seems like it could be made a bunch easier if the micro cell was like WiFi -- you just plop the thing down, and all phones within range just connect up and use it automatically. AT&T could give them away for free, and get their network extended radically. There must be some sort of technical reason that I'm missing why this isn't feasible.

  • NVIDIA's Fermi takes direct aim at supercomputing, Intel - Ars Technica: Good overview of Nvidia's next major graphics chip. The discussion includes the fact that this new chip is a bit of a gamble for Nvidia -- their traditional market is drying up, so they are casting about for a replacement.

  • PSP Go review: Sony is charging you much more for much less - Ars Technica: Pretty scathing review of the new PSP from Ars Technica. I don't know what's going on over at Sony HQ, but they seriously need to get their act together.
