  • Why Craigslist Is Such a Mess: Greate article on Craigslist in this month's Wired. Quote:

    "Newmark has been working hard to extend the influence of his worldview. His public pronouncements have the delighted yet apologetic tone of a man who has stumbled on a secret hiding in plain sight and who finds it embarrassingly necessary to point out something that should long have been obvious. He seems to have discovered a new way to run a business. He suspects that it may be the right way to run the world."
    I'm like Craigslist, and I like how they operate. More power to 'em, I say.

  • AppleInsider | Apple to retain, redesign plastic MacBook family: The $999 MacBook is cleary the odd duck in Apple's current lineup -- so I really hope that Apple does revamp it, and get the entry-level cost of a Mac latop down into the $800 range.

  • Apple Announces August 28th Availability of Snow Leopard - Mac Rumors: The end user in me can't wait to get my hands on Snow Leopard, and so an early release date is fantastic. However, the IT manager in me thinks it was kind of a dick move on Apple's part to give less than 5 days notice on the release date. It doesn't leave a lot of time to plan out upgrades for the folks who are going to want to make the switch immediately.
