I was in Chicago over the 4th of July weekend, and while I didn't take a lot of pictures, I did manage to grab this one:

In general, the weather was fantastic the whole time I was there (much warmer than SF!), with the exception of the 4th itself, when it rained all day. It was a slow, steady rain, so we could still sit out on the porch. Grilling would have been a challenge, however, if my dad hadn't planned ahead -- the umbrella there is his newest innovation. He was able to position it over the deck when he was making the ice cream, then pivot it over the grill when it came time to make the food.
I guess that's what several engineering degrees will getcha, huh?
