MacBook Air (Mid 2009) Review | Laptop | Macworld: The big story is that the latest revision to the MacBook Air is slower than the one that it replaces. While I can understand why Apple wants to sell this product, and that it has a reasonably bright future, the MacBook Air as it currently stands is a touch machine to love. My workplace is in the process of divesting itself of almost all MacBook Airs (save for mine). And the only reason why I'm not giving up my Air is because it is solely a secondary machine for me.
Bit.ly’s Grand Plans, And Their Inevitable Clash With Digg: Bitly Now: I'll admit to being a little confused when bit.ly took on funding, but based upon the amount of traffic they're getting, it seems like they might actually have a business here. Which is amazing, considering how simple (and technically uninteresting) URL shorteners are.
Will TV Ever Get an App Store Moment? — GigaOM Pro: I've been beating this drum for awhile. I'm hoping that now that Steve Jobs is back at Apple, working on the next major revision of Apple TV is on his short list of projects deserving of his attention.
The "S" Should Stand for Smooth - Joe Hewitt: This was my impression in playing with the 3GS as well -- everything was just a lot more responsive.
3G Speed and Reliability Results by City - PC World: AT&T fairs poorly on these reliability & speed tests, especially in San Francisco and San Jose, where many Apple employees live. Remember what I said about Apple having to be pretty unhappy with AT&T in order to go to the trouble of producing a CDMA iPhone? Maybe this'll do it. (via Dan Merritts)
