Hulu's tug of war with TV - Los Angeles Times: So, the cable companies are freaking out over the success of Hulu, so of course "everybody" agrees that making Hulu less user-friendly is the solution:
"NBC Universal and News Corp. are considering whether to adopt a cable industry initiative called authentication, which would require users to prove they are pay TV subscribers before they can watch current shows on Hulu."
Morons. What the TV people fail to understand is that if they make it too difficult for me to watch their content, I'm simply not going to do it! I have a million things that I can do with my time -- play games, listen to music, read, mess around on the Internet (so many ways to spend time there!), that I'm just not going to give my attention to things that actively annoy me.
Electronista | Toshiba ships 32nm, 32GB flash memory early: I'll be stunned if there isn't a 32GB option on the next iPhone.
Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-40V5100 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV: I'm always curious about what's going on with TVs, even though I plan to forego one for awhile. Looking at the reviews for Sony's smallest V series TV (which is a higher end series), I was appalled by what I read. I think I can see why Sony is losing money like crazy: these kinds of quality problems, on a $1200 TV, are just unacceptable. Call me old fashioned if you will, but I'm not into paying top dollar for a TV that requires patching before you can actually see dark scenes in movies.
