Well, in non-Mac news, I managed to download and install the Windows 7 beta:

The default Windows 7 install, running Internet Explorer 8.

I wasn't able to get a key from Microsoft's apparently-hammered servers, so this install will go belly-up in 30 days. But so far, I'm impressed that it actually works in VMWare. I haven't tried installing the VMWare tools yet, but I saw one blog report that claimed that he Vista version of the tools should work in Windows 7. So, I'm going to make a snapshot and give it a shot.

UPDATE: The VMWare tools for Vista work just fine, so Windows 7 is quite useable on my mac. The video performance doesn't seem to be as good as what I was seeing in XP -- don't know if that is a beta thing, or just a running Vista thing.
