I twittered some of my impressions of Apple's announcements today, and lacking any sort of Twitter-to-blog integration, I thought I would just post the relevant tweets here, in reverse chronological order:
- Best photo set of new 17" MBP: http://bit.ly/envE Looks like you have to unscrew the bottom case in order to get at the RAM.
- Next up for DRM destruction: TV Shows. TV Shows are already broadcast DRM-free (much as CDs are sold DRM free), so there is precedent.
- Prediction for 2009: I will be buying a lot more music on iTunes. In fact, I may have already bought my last CD (barring a new Tool album)
- Looks like iWork '09 and iLife '09 both still support PowerPC. System requirements look pretty similar to the previous versions, in fact.
- Also, it isn't clear if the HDD is easily replaceable on the 17" MacBook Pro, like it is on the 15" model. My guess: no about 4 hours ago from web It's weird that Apple doesn't offer a 500Gb HD option on the MacBook Pro. Particularly on the 17" model.
