• Some Thoughts on Apple’s Metal API: A decent overview from Ryan Smith at Anandtech at to what's going on here. One thing that I was surprised to read was that Apple hasn't brought OpenCL to iOS yet. Seems odd, given how bullish Apple has been on the OpenCL front...

• Apple will soon (finally) share its master list of MFi controller-enabled iOS games: Apple continues to inch forward towards taking gaming really seriously. This looks like a welcome improvement, but much more is needed.

• iOS 8 strikes an unexpected blow against location tracking: I didn't even know that entities were tracking the search-for-WiFi pings, but I'm glad to hear that Apple is already fixing this privacy leak.
