• Botched McAfee update shutting down corporate XP machines worldwide: This sucks if you're an XP user running McAfee (which potentially, a lot of people are).

• Avengers Get All Assembley!: Normally I don't go for random web comics, but this one is pretty good. (via Whedonesque)

• Apple Q2 2010: Another Quarter, Another Record: Fantastic graphs. Really puts the last decade into perspective.

• Ash and Lightning Above an Icelandic Volcano: Pretty cool. (via Elizabeth Banks)

• MacBook Pros with NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M silicon making questionable graphics switching decisions: My guess is that Apple is going to evolve this graphics switching technology over time.

• Retrode easily turns your SNES, Sega Genesis cartridges into ROMs: This looks pretty cool, and totally simple to use. It would be great if something like this were officially supported by Nintendo, for use with the Virtual Console.

• Editorial: Engadget on Microsoft Kin: The jist: the only way the Kin can justify its existence is if it is super cheap (pre-paid would actually be fairly huge). Barring that, looks like it might be a dud.
