• Black-backed early prototype: I didn't know this existed. I wonder if Apple will move back to a predominantly metal backing in the next iPhone? (found via Nicholas Riley).

• Dollhouse: (Briefly) The Best Show on Television: While I agree that the last couple of episodes of "Dollhouse" have had me plenty engaged, I still think that this show is deeply flawed, and my least favorite of all of Joss Whedon's shows.

  Enver Gjokaj is amazing, though. Joss continues to impress with his casting.

• It's on: Apple holding January 27th event to show off its 'latest creation': I guess this whole tablet thing really is going down.
