• Walt Mossberg Reviews Litl, the Cloud-Based Laptop: Looks like litl could still use some work. Sure wish I could play with one. (via Daring Fireball)

• Google's biggest announcement was not a phone, but a URL: Ars Technica's Jon Stokes:

  "In short, what Google announced today wasn't just the Nexus One, but the world's first carrier-independent smartphone store; the Google store is now the only smartphone store in the world where, for every phone on offer, you first pick which phone you want, and then you pick a network and a plan on that network. So you can comparison shop among networks based purely on plan price and network quality, because you already have your phone picked out."

  The importance of this can't be understated.

• Jailbreak: Nifty look at the current state of iPhone jailbreaking, by Shawn Blanc. It's also worth reading his addendum. I only had my phone jailbroken one time back in 2007, and I'm not really tempted to go back there. Although SBsettings does sound pretty cool.

• Android thoughts: Interesting point from Nicholas Riley about the limitations of software keyboards that I hadn't previously considered.

• Sandra Bullock Makes The Blind Side the First Female-Driven Film to Make $200 Million at the Box Office: Surprising that this didn't happen long ago.

• What does the Nexus One mean for Google Voice, Apps?: Some intriguing possibilities here, but we'll have to wait and see if Google goes this way.
