TidBITS Opinion: A Mother's Letter to Apple about Macworld Expo: While I concur with this thesis, I don't think Apple is going to listen. One argument I've heard is that experiencing new Apple products at any Apple store is just as good as at the Apple booth at Macworld. In my experience, this is false. The Apple employees who staff the Apple booth are typically those that actually worked on the product. So you can get much better answers to your questions, and learn a lot more of the technical details of new products, then you can at the Apple store. The interaction with the "unwashed masses" (i.e. me) is what I'm going to miss most about Apple leaving Macworld.
India’s Reverse Diaspora: It'll be interesting to see if the global economic meltdown will increase the trend of "reverse brain drain" in India, or not.
Mac OS X Netbook Compatibility Chart (updated) - Boing Boing Gadgets: I'm not saying that I'd run OS X on a netbook (assuming that I was to buy one), but this chart is a nice summary of the current state of OS X hackery on netbooks.
