I'm willing to wager that the screws that Apple used aren't superfluous. Apple in the last decade has been reasonable efficient with this sort of thing.

• Byte of the Apple The iPhone SDK Will Be Late - BusinessWeek: I think the fact that a firm date hasn't been announced yet indiciates that the SDK is going to slip. But, does it really matter? Two years from now, nobody will remember the exact date that the SDK was released.

• The Atlantic: “The Connection Has Been Reset”: Long article delving into the "Great Firewall of China". What's interesting is that the social engineering has a greater effect on cersoring communication than the firewall itself.

• Researchers crack FileVault, BitLocker with canned air hack: Ars covers hacking of on disk encryption - by reading the contents of RAM between the time the machine is rebooted and when the RAM recycles itself. Sick.
